Welsh Alliance League title-hopefuls Conwy Borough sign Tommy Creamer

Conwy Borough boss Gareth Thomas have signed hot prospect Tom Creamer as his side look to win promotion back to the Huws Gray Alliance.

Creamer a player known to to Conwy due to being a local lad from the area, joins from from Rhyl FC after a short-spell with the Lilywhites during pre-season.

The 18-year-old had been a part of the reserve side of the English National League side Wrexham and now re-joins the side he played for as a younger player.

He will slot in the centre of midfielder in today’s friendly against Sutton Athletic before Conwy’s season opener season against Llanberis next week.

Gareth Thomas was appointed as the Tangerines manager this summer says pre-season has had its highs and its lows but is looking forward to the final pre-season game before the real football kicks in.

“The performances have been up and down with some highs yet some poor performances, that said we are like most clubs pre-season with unavailability being a major factor on teams we have put out and shape we have played.”

As well as signing Creamer, the squad has seen many wholesale changes following the clubs relegation and Gareth Thomas is still on the lookout for even more signings as they look to ensure the squad is full of the needed quality going into the long-season in which promotion is to be expected of them.

“We go into the final game with majority of players signed for the squad though we are still looking to add one or two for what will be a hard season ahead in a very competitive league.”
