Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch appoint Porthmadog coach Ioan Llywelyn as new manager
Welsh Alliance League side Llanfairpwll FC have appointed Ioan Llywelyn as their new First Team Manager after their search for a replacement.
Llewelyn who currently resides in Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch was Assistant Manager at Premier League side Bangor City, as well as overseeing youth development at the Citizens before taking up a similar role at Cymru Alliance side Porthmadog.
“Ioan will be taking on the role of Manager at Llanfair PG and I have no doubts that he will do a great job for his infectious personality and passion for the game will rub off on his players. “I would like to personally thank him for all the hard work he has given us and wish him all the very best of luck at Llanfair PG. said a saddened but proud Craig Papirnyk as he wished his coach well in his new role.
Speaking to Porthmadog.co.uk, Iaon stated his reasons for leaving Y Traeth and has thanked manager Craig Papirnyk for bringing him into the club.
“I have thoroughly enjoyed my period of working with the management team and the talented squad of players at the club. I’d like to thank Paps, the staff, players, officials and supporters for making me feel welcome during my time at Port and I wish the club all the success for the rest of the season. Good Luck and all the best for the future.”
Ioan’s first game will be against Aberffraw on Saturday afternoon in the Welsh Alliance Football League Division Two, before taking charge in his first home game at Maes Eilian next Saturday against Penmaenmawr Phoenix.
