RECAP: Buckley Town v Brickfield Rangers – Welsh National League Premier Division

Buckley Town host title rivals Brickfield Rangers at The Globe this afternoon in a match that has a significant bearing on the title race.

The Bucks know that a draw or win today will secure an immediate return to the Cymru Alliance, following their relegation last season.

Brickfield meanwhile must claim victory today and then go onto win their final match against Llay Welfare on Wednesday evening to deny Buckley the title.

A big crowd is expected on to see either Buckley clinch the title or Brickfield take a massive step towards pipping Buckley to first place.

The two sides’ previous meeting came just two weeks ago when they played out a tense 1-1 draw at Brickfield.

Dale Davies sent Brickfield ahead in the second half but a reply from Aled Bellis ensured the spoils were shared.

Although they have the home advantage Buckley have yet to beat Brickfield this season, as their other meeting in the league cup semi final saw the green and whites run out 2-1 winners.
