LIVE: Wales v Spain – International Challenge Match
Wales play their first game at the Principality Stadium in seven years, when they host Spain in a friendly match. We’ll be providing live updates of the game.
Gareth Bale looks set to miss the game after an agreement between the FAW and his club side Real Madrid, will see him play just the one game this international break. Wales play Ireland at the Aviva Stadium five days later in the UEFA Nations League.
British based players like Alvaro Morata, Cesar Azpilicueta, David de Gea, Jonny Castro, Kepa Arrizabalaga and Marcos Alonso have all been included in the Spain squad, named by Luis Enrique.
It’s the first meeting between the two sides in 33 years, with Wales winning 3-0 in a FIFA World Cup qualifier. Ian Rush scored twice.
Adam Davies and Joe Rodon are uncapped at senior level for Wales but could play a part. Each side are allowed to make six substitutes in the game.
