LIVE: Barry Town United vs Penybont – JD Welsh Cup

Barry Town United host promotion hopefuls Penybont in Round Three of the JD Welsh Cup at Jenner Park this evening.

Managers Gavin Chesterfield and Rhys Griffiths are currently on the same UEFA Pro Licence course, meaning they will do battle for a place in the Round Four draw which will take place on Heno next Monday.

The last meeting between these two sides ended up in a 1-1 draw, as the two battled it out for promotion, with Barry Town United eventually winning the Division One title.

The last battle between the two in this competition was a 3-0 victory for Penybont at Jenner Park in November 2016.

This is the first Welsh Cup this season Barry Town United will play in, following their exit from the competition last season to Caernarfon Town.

Penybont have already played two games in the competition, having beaten Aberbargoed Buds and Panteg to reach this stage.
