Bangor City continue to play away from Nantporth

Bangor City will play their second consecutive home fixture away from their usual Nantporth home it has been confirmed.

The Citizens fixture against Ruthin Town will be played at Llandudno’s Maesdu Park on Friday night, with a scheduled 20:00 kick-off, meaning they will have played at three different home grounds this season.

Their previous home match was played at Conwy Borough’s Y More, in which they lost to Gresford Athletic.

Bangor tweeted: “We would like to thank Iwan & Sam at Llandudno for helping with the fixture and to Bryn & Ruthin on agreeing to the facility.”

“This is the best facility and at a very reasonable price. We are very aware that it is not ideal and we are doing everything we possibly can to get back in our own ground as quickly as possible. Apologies for the inconvenience.”

The Gwynedd club are currently third in the Cymru Alliance League, nine points behind league leaders Airbus UK Broughton.

The next scheduled home fixture after their league match against Ruthin Town is in two weeks time when they are meant to play at Nantporth.

The last home fixture at Nantporth for Bangor City was their narrow 2-1 defeat to Gwynedd rivals Caernarfon Town in Round Four of the JD Welsh Cup.
