Wales will be without influential midfielder Aaron Ramsey tomorrow as he was officially ruled out of the European Championship qualifier with Slovakia.

The 28-year-old missed the friendly win over Trinidad & Tobago and wasn’t present at training at the Cardiff City Stadium on early Saturday morning.

Ryan Giggs confirmed in his press conference ahead of tomorrow’s match that the Arsenal star would miss out.

“Aaron’s gone back to Arsenal. He won’t be available for tomorrow. His injury didn’t clear up on time but that gives a chance for someone else.

“We have plan B and we’ve worked on it during the week. We’ve worked on both options and have prepared for both eventualities”.

Ramsey’s Wales teammate, Gareth Bale said: “Obviously it’s a big blow for us. We’ll miss him but it gives someone a chance to step in. It’s a part and parcel of football.”

David Brooks looks set to play after picking up an ankle injury in Bournemouth’s draw with Newcastle last week. Brooks goes into the game with two FAW Awards to his name.

Will Vaulks who made his debut for Wales on Wednesday could earn his first competitive cap, whilst FC Twente’s on-loan midfielder Matthew Smith is also in contention.
