RECAP: STM Sports claim bragging rights in Cardiff derby victory

Live updates from The Willows as promotion chasing STM Sports make the short trip across Cardiff to face City rivals Bridgend Street.

Dale Gardiner’s men can move back into the promotion spots with both Abergavenny Town and Caldicot not playing.

Bridgend Street boss John Jones previously managed the STM Sports youth side last season and will manage against his former club on Wednesday.

Neither side was in action on the weekend. Street’s last fixture came on Wednesday the 10th April when they suffered a 3-0 defeat to Aberbargoed Buds at home. STM’s last outing was a 4-2 win over another City rival Caerau Ely on the 6th April.

The two clubs have yet to met this season and will meet once more on the 1st May at Llanrumney 3G, that is STM’s only home fixture in their eight game run-in towards promotion.
