Guilsfield boss Nathan Leonard to stand down at the end of the season
Nathan Leonard will stand down from his post as Guilsfield manager at the end of the season.
Leonard took over from Dan Barton last year but will now take a 12-month break from management.
He will remain in football where he will focus on his role with The New Saints Academy as he works towards his UEFA B Licence.
Leonard released a statement explaining his decision: “Unfortunately I am having to step down as Gulsfield manager at the end of the season. After 6/7 weeks of consideration, I’ve made this very difficult decision and I will be taking a 12-month break from management.
“It’s been a privilege to manage the club the past two seasons. It’s a decision I didn’t want to make but I know in the long run it’s the right decision.”
Under Leonard’s guidance, he secured a 4th place finish in his first campaign. Guilsfield will finish 6th this season.
He will take to the dugout for the last time tomorrow afternoon when Guilsfield welcomes Cymru Alliance strugglers Holywell Town to Close Mytton, in their final league fixture of the season.
