Llansantffraid have appointed Graham Evans as their new first-team manager.

Evans replaces John Sherrin who stood down from his role in August. He moves from Llanrhaeadr, where he assisted Marc Griffiths.

Jake Harris and Ray Jones had taken caretaker charge of the club, in Sherrin’s absence.

“We are pleased to announce that Graham Evans is the new First Team Manager,” said a club spokesperson in a brief statement.

“With his past experience showing he is the right man to take us forward as a football club.”

The Powys club are currently bottom of Division One in the Mid Wales League, following Hay St Mary’s withdrawal.

They’ve yet to win a game and have picked up one point from a possible 27, conceding the joint highest goals in the league and scoring the lowest, having only found the target five times.

His first game in charge will be at home to Welshpool Town.
