FC Queens Park: Club set up JustGiving page to fund new stand

A JustGiving page has been set up to help fund the costs of a new stand for FC Queens Park.

FC Queens Park are currently in the process of applying for a Tier Three Licence for the 2020/2021 season.

One of the requirements is to have a 100-seater stand, which Queens Park say will cost £15,000.

The club say they had applied for a grant on the basis of ‘securing a lease of the land‘ for more than years.

Queens Park, however, adds they were unable to secure it in time, which means they must now find other means to afford their new stand.

They also say they have applied for planning permission.

So far the club have improved their railings and have built two new dugouts with locks on to help meet the criteria.

The Wrexham club have until 30 April 2020 to meet the criteria and failure to meet it, would result in a demotion to the fourth tier.

David Evans, first-team manager of the Welsh National League, set up the fundraiser.
