Ken Mckenna stands down as assistant manager of AFC Fylde

Former New Saints manager Ken McKenna stands down as AFC Fylde assistant manager.

McKenna moved to the Vanarama National League club in October 2019, following manager Jim Bentley from Morecambe.

The 59-year-old spent ten years with The New Saints and had multiple success with the club.

From joining as a player in 1998, McKenna took the managerial reigns in 2001 and led them to three consecutive Premier League titles.

Confirming his departure, the club said: “AFC Fylde can confirm that Kenny McKenna will be vacating his role as assistant manager.

“Everyone at the club would like to thank Kenny for his efforts whilst on the touchline at Mill Farm and wishes him well in his future career.

“A new appointment will be communicated to fans once it is finalised.”
