Gareth Bale: Welsh winger keen on making sensational return to Tottenham Hotspur – Reports

Wales star Gareth Bale is believed to be interested in moving back to re-join Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur.
The 31-year-old winger has been completely frozen out of Zinedine Zidane’s plans following more controversy in the Spanish capital throughout the course of the 2019/2020 La Liga campaign.
Although Bale has the intention of running down his contract at Los Blancos, which expires in 2022, it has now been reported that the former Southampton youngster may be keen on a move back to North London.
The Welshman featured just twice since football returned amid the coronavirus outbreak, in the games against Eibar and Mallorca, respectively.
Tottenham could pave the way for his Real Madrid exit, but the fact that Bale’s weekly wages are currently at a staggering £600,000 per week, it appears that any sort of deal in making a stunning return to the Premier League this summer with his former club look highly unlikely.
Real Madrid claimed their first La Liga title at the end of the current campaign for the first time since 2017, but the Welshman cut an isolated figure and was videoed trying to trip up his teammates during the celebrations, after beating Villarreal 2-1.
Bale featured just 16 times for Zidane’s side, with four of them appearances coming from the substitutes bench, as he scored two goals and set up a further two across the season.
He has also helped them win the Copa Del Rey once and the Uefa Champions League four times during his time at the Bernabeu and scored one of the great European goals in the 2018 final, following a sumptuous overhead kick as Los Blancos defeated Liverpool 3-1, in Kyiv.
His future at Madrid looks bleak now though, and the only way to resolve this would be to move on this summer to end a torrid couple of years in Spain.
Of course a move to Tottenham Hotspur would be a dream for the supporters of the football club, after excelling, where he scored 43 goals and assisted 31 times in the Premier League, during the six years he spent there between 2007 and 2013, but for the time being, it looks off the cards.
Especially given the fact that Spurs chairman Daniel Levy took out a £200 million loan to protect the club against the coronavirus crisis, meaning it is unlikely any lucrative deals will occur this summer at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
