Bristol City and Wales midfielder Joe Morrell could on the move to Luton Town.

Morrell, who will be absent from tonight’s Nations League fixture with Bulgaria, could be set for a permanent departure from Ashton Gate.

Mike McGrath, a football journalist at The Daily Telegraph says that the Hatters are close to agreeing to a fee with Morrell’s club Bristol City.

Morrell has yet to feature for the Robins this season.

However he has played in all four of Wales’ fixtures this year.

Last season, Morrell was on loan at Lincoln City, where he made 32 appearances, scoring once.

His performances saw him earn the Player of the Year award with the Imps.

A move to Kenilworth Road would see him link up with fellow Wales internationals Rhys Norrington-Davies and Tom Lockyer.

Luton are also managed by former Maesteg Park and Ton Pentre player Nathan Jones.
