Cardiff City have reportedly agreed a deal to sign Liverpool and Wales winger Harry Wilson.

Wilson, who was subject of interest of a handful of Premier League sides, saw a £15m move to Burnley fall through.

So now the 23-year-old is leaving Anfield for some game time which has alerted a number of Championship teams.

Freelance sports journalist Pete O’Rourke tweeted that Cardiff have agreed to a deal for the Welshman, however they face competition from bitter rivals Bristol City and Swansea City.

Swansea however have a backup plan as they aim to move for Bristol City’s Kasey Palmer.

The Bluebirds are currently the favourites to sign the Wrexham-born player according to Sky Bet, with odds as high as 1/5.

WalesOnline have reported that Cardiff are looking to bring in two new players before Friday’s deadline.

Wilson is one of those players along with Barnsley’s Cauley Woodrow and West Bromwich Albion’s Charlie Austin.

It is believed that the club which sign Wilson will have to hand over a loan fee of over £1m to secure his services.
