Doncaster Rovers in ‘pole position’ to sign Wales midfielder Matt Smith – reports

Wales midfielder Matthew Smith is in talks over a loan move to Doncaster Rovers.
Manchester City have allowed for a loan move and the Keepmoat Stadium looks to be the destination for the 20-year-old.
A number of Championship and League One clubs had been interested in the Citizens starlet.
Football Insider 24/7, however, report that after advanced talks, Doncaster are in ‘pole position’ to sign the Welsh youngster.
The 20-year-old made 10 appearances on loan for Queens Park Rangers last season.
He joined Charlton Athletic for the second part of the season but was limited to just two appearances.
