Nathan Cadette has announced his decision to stand down from his role as coach of Bridgend Street.

The former Cardiff City midfielder joined the club in May 2019 with Sean Wharton working alongside of him during their time at The Willows.

They led the club to an eighth placed finish in their first season, however they were relegated to the Alliance League after failinjg to secure the Tier Three Certificate.

In a parting statement to The Mission, Cadette said: “I would like to go on record to thank Bridgend Street for the opportunity of managing the club and wish them all the best in the future.”

The 40-year-old was part of the coaching staff which led STM Sports to promotion to Division Three of the Welsh League, as well as the league title in 2019, which saw them into the Cymru South.

Cadette’s most recent club however, Bridgend Street have yet to receive a start date for their new season a result of COVID-19 restrictions placed on non-elite football by the Welsh Government.
