Wales’ goalkeeping coach Jon Horton has announced his decision to leave the coaching staff.

Horton, who worked with the Women’s national team for the six years of Jayne Ludlow’s tenure has become the latest person to leave the Welsh setup.

Assistant manager Lauren Smith left in the same week of Jayne Ludlow’s departure but has since become assistant manager at FA Women’s Super League side Tottenham Hotspur.

“It was a difficult decision but today is the end of my journey with the FAW’s Women’s teams,” said Horton on a social media post.

“Diolch to all the staff & player’s for so many fantastic memories, highs and lows, laughs & tears.”
