Celtic have signed Tottenham Hotspur and Wales midfielder Anna Filbey on loan for the remainder of the season
Anna Filbey has joined Celtic from Tottenham Hotspur on loan after making five appearances this season with one goal to her name in a 4-1 loss to Manchester City last October.
Filbey is a former Arsenal youngster but made the move to Tottenham Hotspur in 2018 where she has made 21 appearances for her parent club.
The 21-year-old was linked to a move to fellow Women’s Super League outfit Aston Villa but a deal had fell through, according to the Hackney Gazette.

“I can’t wait to get started.”
The versatile Filbey made her international debut against Belarus in a Euro 2021 qualifying match in a 1- 0 win for Wales.
She will be managed by former Lewes Women manager Fran Alonso and will link up once the current Government restrictions on women’s football are lifted.
