New Saints have £50,000 bid accepted for Dunfermline’s Declan McManus – reports

Dunfermline have reportedly accepted a £50,000 offer for forward Declan McManus from The New Saints

Scottish paper Daily Record say that the Scottish Championship side have accepted a potential league record bid from the Cymru Premier runners-up.

McManus will now hold talks with the Oswestry club ahead of a possible move to Park Hall as they prepare for their upcoming Europa Conference League campaign.

The 26-year-old has been at East End Park since 2020 after rejoining the Pars for a second spell and scored 10 goals in 36 appearances in the past season, helping them a fourth-place finish in the second tier of Scottish football.

McManus is a teammate of Wales international goalkeeper Owain Fôn Williams.

The majority of his career has been spent in Scotland, however, he did spend a season at Fleetwood Town whilst they were in League One in 2015.

His best goalscoring return came in a loan spell at Falkirk, where he scored 24 times in 34 appearances, helping The Bairns to a second-placed finish.

McManus’ other clubs include Aberdeen, where he started his career, as well as Alloa Athletic, Greenock Morton, Raith Rovers and Ross County.

Earlier in the day, TNS allowed Adam Roscrow to join Cardiff Met on a season-long loan, paving way for McManus to be the spearhead of their attack.

They also allowed the clubs all-time record goalscorer, Greg Draper, to leave the club. Draper is expected to join a Cymru North team following his release.

Anthony Limbrick’s side have already began their summer transfer business, securing the services of left-back Danny Davies from their title rivals Connah’s Quay.
