Wales C international Adam Roscrow has rejoined Cardiff Met on a season-long loan move from The New Saints.

The 26-year-old returns to Cyncoed Campus, two years after leaving for the Football League with AFC Wimbledon.

Roscrow who returned to Wales in January 2021, joined TNS on a three-year for a club-record fee, however, it has been decided six months into his stay that a season at his former club will benefit his career.

During his first spell at the club, Roscrow spent a total of five years under the stewardship of Christian Edwards.

He was part of the Met team that achieved promotion to the Cymru Premier in 2016, winning the Welsh League Division One title.

Nathaniel MG Cup success followed his league success with his brace against Cambrian & Clydach in the final clinching their first major trophy. In the same season, they won the play-off final against Bala Town to qualify for the Europa League for the first time.

“I’m delighted to have come back to Cardiff Met,” said Roscrow after making the move back to the student outfit.

“It gives me the chance to play more regular football which I’ve not had.

“Coming back to a club where I know the staff and players so well will help get the best out of me for the season ahead.”

Commenting on his homecoming, manager Christian Edwards added: “As everyone knows our club provides an environment for learning and development and this aligns to what TNS want for Adam during his loan spell.

“We jumped at the chance when we became aware of his availability. He knows the club very well which was important for us, Adam and TNS.

“It is fantastic to have him back, we are delighted to be working with Adam again as he will provide proven quality and experience for our group for the upcoming season.”

New Saints manager Anthony Limbrick also added: “It was important for Adam, leading into this season, to gain the appropriate game time he needs for his development.

The move back to Cardiff Met on loan provides this for him. We wish him all the best this season.
