Warrington Town have re-signed Flint Town United trio Eddie Clarke, Jordan Buckley, and Josh Amis,

All three joined the Silkmen in January after Warrington’s season was curtailed, but have since agreed to return to Cantilever Park ahead of the 2021/22 campaign.

Amis, who shone the most out of the three players, scored six times in 14 appearances, including a hat-trick against the Cefn Druids.

Commenting on the return of his forward, manager Paul Carden said: “He didn’t want to sit on his hands and do nothing – he was prepared to go over to Flint and play and he scored a few goals in the process.

“He’s a big character in the dressing room as well as a big player on the pitch. He’s a good lad to have around as well as being a good player.

“It’s important we don’t overlook that.”

Clarke, a left-sided defender, featured a total of 11 times under Flint Town boss Neil Gibson.

Buckley, a forward like Amis, appeared 11 times, but could only find the net on one occasion, scoring in a 5-0 demolition job of the Druids.

Evan Gumbs and Mitch Duggan also joined Flint from Warrington in what was a busy transfer period for the Flintshire club.

One player who won’t return to the English non-league system however is Jack Mackreth, who has opted to take an 18-month deal at Bala Town.
