The Welsh Cup first-round draw took place this evening and it has been revealed that the lowest-ranked Fairwater will travel to Cymru South outfit Trefelin BGC.
Ties will take place on the weekend beginning August 9, they will be played on either August 13, 14, or 15.
Casey Warren’s side, who sit at the seventh tier of Welsh football in the Cardiff Combination League, will take on the early pacesetters of the second tier.
Trefelin BGC, managed by Richie Ryan, are currently top of the league after defeating local rivals Port Talbot Town 4-0 in their first game at a second-tier level.
Aber Valley, like Fairwater, who have reached this stage for the first time, will face league rivals Porthcawl Town Athletic, with a place against Cymru Premier sides at stake in the next round.
Phoenix club CPD Y Rhyl 1879 will welcome Rhydymwyn to Belle Vue as they continue their ascent to their former glories.
Despite the draw taking place, Bangor 1876 have appealed to the FAW National Cup board about their enforced elimination from the Cup.
The North Walian outfit had a player return a positive PCR test and as a result, the Test, Trace and Protect team that their squad would have to self isolate. As a result, the club had to automatically forfeit the match, thus Llanerch-y-Medd progressing to the next round.
