Welsh Cup round two draw – see who your team drew in seeded draw

The JD Welsh Cup second-round draw took place today and it threw up some intriguing ties across Welsh football.

In a revised format to the competition, there were a number of seeded and unseeded teams. This has been done to make more ‘David v Goliath’ ties happen.

Cup holders The New Saints have been given a home tie at Park Hall against Llanrwst United of the Ardal Leagues.

Phoenix club Y Rhyl 1879, reformed in 2020, are the youngest team left in the draw. They will travel to 2017/18 winners Connah’s Quay.

2019/20 South Wales Alliance League champions Pencoed Athletic, from the fourth tier, will host local rivals Llantwit Major.

League rivals Aber Valley, who have made their best performance in the competition will travel to Park Avenue to compete with Aberystwyth Town.

Penrhyndeudraeth ranked at the same level but in the North, are the other lowest-ranked team left. A reward for them beating Llanfair United is an away trip to the Essity Stadium to face Flint Town United.

Mid Wales League outfit Brecon Corries will make the trip across the other part of the country to face Haverfordwest County.

Bodedern Athletic, the other side outside of Welsh football’s top three divisions, welcome Ruthin Town to Cae Ty Cristion.

There is also a return to Jenner Park Stadium for Josh Graham. The former STM Sports forward, now with Goytre will face Barry Town United after his summer exit.
