Goytre United came away from the Recreation Ground with all three points as they defeated Ammanford 1-0 in the JD Cymru South.

Goytre go up to third with ten games remaining in the season, six points off of league leaders Llantwit Major.
The game started brightly and Jenkins and trundle were both the main spark for the home team and Jenkins should have scored on 8 mins
A wonderful Wonderful through ball from trundle found Jenkins for a one-on-one but Morton made a fine save to deny the leagues top scorer.
United were finding space down the right but couldn’t find any players in the box.
United had their first shot on goal,Bishop shots from distance and it was parried away for a corner.
Tristan Jenkins should have scored. Ammanford in midfield finds trundle who beautifully weighted pass finds Jenkins who rounds Morton and hits the post so unlucky for the striker on form this season
Another chance for the home side just before the hour. Lewis struck it from distance but it was comfortably saved by Morton
Great play on the right found Hopkins who from 20 yards out fired it past Jamie Rano for a great opening strike.
Both teams were running the changes as there were a lot of tired Legs with the conditions not at their best tonight
Both teams pushed on but Ammanford will rule their missed chances early but couldn’t find the equalizer tonight
