Pontypridd United have made a double signing ahead of the start of the 2022/23 Adran Premier season.

Brooke Evans and Jasmine Turner have joined the Dragons from Cardiff City Women and Cardiff City Ladies respectively.

Evans was part of the Bluebirds’ side that won the Adran Under-19’s league with Cardiff City, winning both the league title and the play-offs.

The 17-year-old broke into the team in 2020/21 and made nine senior appearances.

Last season however there was more of a focus on playing for the youth sides of the club.

Commenting on his first new signing, first-team manager James Fishlock said: “Delighted to have Brooke commit to the club for the upcoming season and hopefully beyond.

“She’s got great quality on the ball and is extremely hard working off the ball.”

Reuniting with Fishlock is Jasmine Turner, who makes the move from Cardiff City Ladies, who play in the third tier of English football.

The midfielder has also played for Bridgwater United, playing against Manchester United in the Women’s FA Cup this year.

The 26-year-old has been involved with the Welsh national set-up before and was in the squad against Estonia for a friendly match in March 2020.

She was highly successful at Cardiff City, winning individual player awards. Turner has three years of experience of Adran Premier football, playing for Cardiff City.

There are a few departures however with Carys Minton leaving the Welsh club to join Kidderminster Harriers.

The 18-year-old is heading to University and will now ply her trade in the English game.

Forward Robyn Pinder has also made the decision to return to Cardiff Met, where she has been the most successful in her career.

The 28-year-old played 18 times last season, scoring two goals and earning two assists.
