Newport County manager hints Pontypridd United could be dealt January transfer blow

Pontypridd United loan midfielder Lewys Twamley looks set to return to parent club Newport County in January.
Twamley joined the Dragons on loan along with defender Joe Woodiwiss in the summer. The 19-year-old has played regularly under Andrew Stokes, playing 18 times across all competitions.
He has got four goals for Pontypridd with a brace against Chepstow Town, as well as winning strikes against Carmarthen and Ruthin Town.
The Wales Under-19 international has played 14 times in the Cymru Premier and has four assists, with a hat-trick of them against Airbus UK Broughton.
Twamley has remained with Newport despite his loan move, training with his Exiles teammates, along with the two sessions he does at Pontypridd.
“There have been a couple of young kids training with us and I have been really pleased with them,” said Coughlan to the South Wales Argus.
A change in management at Rodney Parade however could see Twamley’s loan re-assessed with a return to the Gwent club likely.
James Rowberry was manager when the loan was green-lighted but Graham Coughlan has since taken over. The 48-year-old has admitted that Twamley would have featured under him had he been available to him.
He said: “Lewys Twamley would have had some game time under me already had he not been on loan.
“We can’t use him until January 1 so I hope he has a really good loan spell, comes back in, and hits the ground running. That will be like a new signing.”
