Pontypridd United v Bala Town: LIVE match updates

Pontypridd United welcome Bala Town to the USW Sport Park on a cold Sunday afternoon that has seen snow fall on the Rhondda Cynon Taff.

It would take a five-goal margin of victory for Pontypridd to get out of the relegation zone this afternoon. Their relegation rivals Flint Town United held Cardiff Met to a 1-1 draw at the Essity Stadium. As for the visitors Bala, they are two points ahead of Penybont in fourth, as they currently hold a potential automatic Europa Conference League qualifying spot.

Pontypridd have struggled with former recently and have lost four of their last five league matches. Their only win came against basement side Airbus UK, who have yet to win a game and are on minus points. In their four defeats, they have failed to score on three occasions. As for the Lakesiders, they are in stark contrast with four wins in their last five games across all competitions. Their only defeat came at the hands of Cardiff Met in a 1-0 defeat in which Chris Venables was sent off.

Nathan Peate’s red card against Flint Town United has been overturned and he will be eligible to play this afternoon. He had clashed with Okera Simmonds when competing for a ball which Alex Ramsay claimed.
