The final relegation spot to drop down to the second tier is still not decided after last weekend’s results. As the race for survival is now on.
Last week it looked like Bala Town had their backs against the wall, with them being eight points of safety, however a victory against Haverfordwest and Flint not getting the victory means Bala are five points from safety with three games to play.
Who is looking likely to go down?
Bala Town welcomed Haverfordwest County in their last home game, a game in which they secured an important win, thanks to a goal from Cameron Ferguson, son of former Everton legend Duncan Ferguson. While they did not get out of the relegation zone it had moved them closer to survival.

This past weekend saw some up and down results for the three teams at risk of getting relegated to the second tier next season.
Flint Town United travelled to Briton Ferry and picked up a goalless draw to claim a vital point to go level with Cardiff Met. The Archers travelled to already relegated Llanelli and earned themselves a win after goals from Toby Raison and Fumpa Mwandwe, as they also moved five clear of Bala and above Flint on goal difference. Ryan Jenkins’s side still look the safest out of the three with their goal difference not being as negative as fellow strugglers Bala Town.

The run-in for relegation
As we head into the final few rounds for the bottom three, this weekends fixtures could prove vital for these sides. Bala Town head to Cyncoed Campus in what is a must win game for the Lakesiders. A win for Cardiff Met and a win from Flint over Llanelli will relegate Steve Fisher’s side. If Bala don’t face relegation on Saturday they will have ties against already relegated Llanelli Town and face Play-off chasing Briton Ferry on the final day.
Ryan Jenkins’s side face Bala Town this weekend, in a game that will be the make or break for Bala Town’s survival. If the Archers don’t pick up a win over Bala they will face Andy Dyer’s Briton Ferry in the penultimate game with a final day home game with Flint.

Flint Town this past weekend drew away from home against Briton Ferry, putting them in a situation where safety is now edging closer after picking up 13 of the last 21 points available. The Silkmen face bottom-place Llanelli Town on Saturday as a win for Steve Evans’s side could seal Bala’s fate. If the Welsh Cup finalists don’t pick up a win they will face difficult ties with Haverfordwest County in the penultimate game with a final day trip to South Wales to face Cardiff Met.

Who are the favourites to go down?
With three games to come, it seems more and more likely that it will be Bala Town who face the drop, however you cannot count out both Flint Town or Cadiff Met as of yet and here is why:

Aside from the victory against Llanelli on the weekend, Cardiff Met have really struggled with their recent form after not picking up a win since the last time they played Llanelli way back in December. On top of this Cardiff Met have fixtures that on paper and the history books this season will tell you they have struggled in. The last time they played all three sides, they picked up a point against Bala, a point against Flint and lost to Briton Ferry on their home turf.
Flint Town have slightly more favourable fixtures with them taking on Llanelli this weekend, and this is a game they have won the last three times this season. After this Haverdfordwest awaits, the last time Flint played them, Flint picked up a 3-1 victory away from home. Finally on the final day they face Cardiff Met where they picked up a point against the last time they faced each other in February.
