Llandudno and Caernarfon have added to their squads ahead of the upcoming Cymru Premier campaign, with the Seasiders adding an ex-Wigan Athletic defender to their ranks.
The Seasiders have completed the signing of 23-year-old defender Kieran Lloyd. Having begun his football career in Liverpool’s youth ranks, Lloyd went on to join Wigan Athletic, where he signed a professional contract with the club, making his debut in the Carabao Cup against Hull City.
During his time at Wigan, Lloyd enjoyed loan spells at Fylde and Chorley before joining Larne, where he won the Northern Irish Premiership title during the 2023/24 season. The defender then left Wigan and joined Bala Town in the Cymru Premier for the 24/25 season.
Most recently, Lloyd had spells at both Bury and Hyde United before departing the latter this summer as a free agent. Llandudno has added the 23-year-old to the squad, where he will link up with his brother, Nathan Lloyd.

Speaking about the signing via the clubs website, Llandudno manager Jordan Hadaway emphasised that Lloyd has been a player he has ‘admired for a number of years’, saying; “I’m delighted to bring Kieran to the club. He’s a player I’ve admired for a number of years and someone we’ve been keen to work with.“
“He adds real quality to the squad and has an excellent footballing background despite still being young. Kieran is athletic, technically strong and brings attributes that will make us better as a team.
“We’re pleased to have him on board, and I’m looking forward to working with him this season”
Lloyd becomes the first summer addition for the Seasiders, who are gearing up for their return to the Cymru Premier.
Caernarfon show intent with addition of Nomads Star
Caernarfon Town have made their third new signing of the summer transfer window adding a defender with a wealth of experience to their ranks.
Ben Nash has joined the Cofis ahead of the new campaign, arriving at the club from Connah’s Quay Nomads. The 27 year old made a total of 138 appearances for the Nomads during his time at the club.

Speaking about joining the Cofis, Nash told club media;
“The club is only going in one direction, the ambition, the players that have come in – I think its a really exciting time to join the club” said Nash.
“For my next step I wanted to go to a big club, with a big following – this is the best place for that, they’re the best fans in the league and I’m looking forward to playing in front of them.”
Having also featured for Flint Town United in the past, the defender has close to 200 appearances in the Welsh top flight and follows Noah Edwards to the Oval with his move from the Nomads being confirmed yesterday – Edwards returned to the Cofis following his original departure in 2023.
The Nomads have been busy in the window despite the departures, announcing the arrival of a new striker this morning. Hussein Mehasseb joins the Nomads following two seasons at recently relegated Bala Town, where he made 51 appearances, scoring 15 goals.
