Paul Fairclough has named his 16-man England squad to face Cymru at Llanelli Town later this month.
In previous editions, the fixture was limited to players just under the age of 23 years old, but for the last three matches they’ve named an open age group. No club has more than one player included, and there is representation from the National League North and South too.
The National League’s top scorer Paul McCallum is included having scored 29 goals in 31 games for Eastleigh. The 30-year-old has 69 appearances in the Football League and counts West Ham United, AFC Wimbledon, Hearts, and Portsmouth as just some of his former clubs.
Wyll Stanway, who plays for Chester in the National League North, the sixth tier of English football has been named. The 22-year-old has kept 16 clean sheets in 37 games this term.
In the National League South, Ollie Pearce has been in top form for Worthing. He is the runaway top-scorer in the division with 33 goals, and that is 13 more than his nearest rival.
England also have 10 players on standby should there be any amendments needed before the game.
Jaydn Mundle-Smith (Wealdstone), Adam Senior (FC Halifax Town), Chris Bush (Boreham Wood), Jack Lambert (Kidderminster Harriers), Nya Kirby (Oxford City), George Sykes-Kenworthy (York City), Jon Ustabasi (AFC Fylde), Tyrese Sinclair (Rochdale), Dion Kelly-Evans (Woking) and Tom Condon (Oldham Athletic) are the players on standby.
