Craig Bellamy suffered his third defeat as Wales boss as his side were comfortably beaten by England 3-0 at Wembley Stadium.
Goals from Morgan Rodgers, Ollie Watkins and Bukayo Saka in the opening 20-minutes saw the game all but over heading into half-time as Thomas Tuchel’s men dominated proceedings.
Bellamy’s side will be looking to bounce back on Monday night as they host Belgium in a crucial FIFA World Cup qualifier at The Cardiff City Stadium.
Wales player ratings vs England
Karl Darlow – 4
There was not much Darlow could do to stop the England goals but as a keeper you’re never going to be happy conceding three. He lacked command of his area leaving the defence under heavy pressure during set-pieces.
Neco Williams – 4
Despite working tirelessly, it was a difficult night for the full-back, who had to contend with both Anthony Gordon and Marcus Rashford as the home side continued to create consistent chances.

Joe Rodon – 6
One of the few defenders to deal with crosses effectively, making key clearances to keep the hosts from adding to their tally. He was the standout player in a red shirt.
Ben Davies (C) – 4
Cap number 99 for the skipper, but one he’ll want to forget, as the side suffered a heavy and humbling defeat at Wembley.
Josh Dasilva – 3
Another full-back who struggled against the hosts’ attacking quality, with Saka finding plenty of joy down the right-hand side.
Ethan Ampadu – 4
The Leeds United midfielder showed a willingness to get on the ball and displayed composure in possession, but struggled to make any real impact given how little of it his side enjoyed and was replaced in the 64th minute.
Liam Cullen – 4
He worked hard in midfield despite the limited possession, but like most of his teammates, struggled to cope with the quality of the opposition and to gain any real foothold in the game.
Harry Wilson – 4
A quiet night for the star in Bellamy’s side, with very few opportunities to make any real impact on the game before being replaced just after the hour mark.
Brennan Johnson – 4
Another Welsh attacker who failed to make any real impact going forward, struggling to get the better of his Tottenham Hotspur teammate Djed Spence.
David Brooks – 4
The Bournemouth man had a great opportunity to reduce the deficit but was denied by Jordan Pickford. It was the clearest of a very limited number of chances for the travelling side, as he, like the other attacking players, struggled to break down England.
Kieffer Moore – 5
The towering forward did a largely thankless job, battling with the English defence and winning numerous long balls in an effort to push his side up the pitch, but he struggled with the lack of support around him.
Chris Mepham – 5
A second-half substitute for Wales, featuring in the final 25 minutes. He forced a fine save from Pickford with a diving header and was solid defensively throughout his time on the pitch.
Ronan Kpakio – 5
Earning his second international cap, the Cardiff City defender featured for the final 25 minutes at Wembley. He showed confidence on the ball, looking to drive forward when possible.
Jordan James – 5
A second-half substitute for Wales, he featured in midfield for the final 25 minutes during a period of limited possession but worked hard throughout.
Josh Sheehan – 5
A second-half substitute for Wales, he played the final 25 minutes alongside James, ultimately experiencing the same challenges of limited possession and plenty of running.
Lewis Koumas – 5
A second-half substitute for Wales, he played the final 15 minutes and produced some bright moments on the ball, showing attacking intent for Bellamy’s side.
Mark Harris – 5
A second-half substitute for Wales, he played the final 15 minutes in a quiet and largely uneventful performance.
