Nomads swoop for Kai Edwards

gap Connah’s Quay Nomads have signed Kai Edwards from Wrexham, the club confirmed this morning.

An adaptable centre half, Edwards is already a well known name in the Welsh Premier, having played for Prestatyn Town, Neath and The New Saints where he won both domestic cups and the Dafabet Welsh Premier championship.

Edwards has been previously linked with a move to Nomads when he left The New Saints in the summer of 2016, but moved to Wrexham AFC where he made 24 appearances.

Speaking to the club’s official website, manager Andy Morrison said:

“We are delighted to welcome Kai to the Club – it’s no secret that we were looking for a centre-half with Ian Kearney and Mike Pearson both being out for the season.

“When we became aware that Kai was available, we had to move fast as players of his qulity are in short supply. Kai can play in a number of positions and has shown at his time at TNS just how valuable he will be going forwards.”
