Bangor City have this morning announced the appointment of Kevin Nicholson as first team manager.
Nicholson holds a pro licence, confirming Bangor City will be able to play in the Europa League next month in line with UEFA licence criteria.
Having held coaching roles with Exeter City FC, Derby County FC and Stoke City FC, his most recent role was coaching Cardiff City’s U23s side.
A full statement on the club’s official website confirms Nicholson will work closely with director of football Steven Vaughan and assistant manager Gary Taylor-Fletcher, who guided Bangor to Europe via the play offs.
“Bangor City FC is pleased to announce Kevin Nicholson as First Team Manager.
31-year old Kevin is a UEFA Pro Licensed Coach, and is a highly qualified and experienced professional coach with over 10 years of coaching and management experience at Academy and First Team level.
Kevin has developed a good reputation and a proven track record of successfully managing and developing players and teams during his career to date.
Kevin has overseen the progression of talented young players at numerous elite level clubs and worked with senior professional and international players as a First Team Coach at EFL Championship club Cardiff City.
Most recently he was Under-23 Manager at Cardiff City and previously held coaching positions at Exeter City FC, Derby County FC and Stoke City FC, working closely with well-known and successful First Team Managers such as Nigel Clough and Paul Tisdale.
Kevin will work closely with Assistant Manager Gary Taylor-Fletcher and Director of Football Stephen Vaughan Jr. as the Citizens embark on 2017/18 UEFA Europa League and Welsh Premier League campaigns.”
