Llandudno sign former Airbus UK and Leicester City starlet Aaron Hassall

BLACON-born youngster Aaron Hassall has joined Welsh Premier League side Llandudno after leaving non-league side Nantwich Town.

Hassall was with Llandudno during pre-season and has since made a permanent move to Maesdu Park this transfer window.

The 19 year-old has had experience playing for Leicester City’s U23 side as well as featuring for the Wales U17 and Wales U19 squads.

Hassall’ predominant possession is of an attacking midfielder as a right winger but can also play as a forward.

He already has 230 minutes of Welsh Premier League football to his name having played for Airbus UK before, as well as having a brief cameo for the Wingmakers in their Europa League qualifies, a few seasons ago.

The young winger was then involved in a reported move to the King Power Arena after Leicester agreed a five-figure fee for the player, where he was around professional players like Jamie Vardy and Riyhad Marez, before being released by the Foxes last summer after loan moves at Stamford and Corby Town.

Speaking to LlandundoFC.co.uk, Hassall is hopeful of earning a first team spot with Llandudno, as he tries to help guide them to a top six finish, which will be the aim for Llandudno this season.

“I’m really pleased to be here at Llandudno, I enjoyed playing with the side pre-season and I’m looking forward to fighting for a starting berth.

I’ve kept an eye on the team so far and obviously two wins from two is a great start, and I’m keen to help the team push on now and get in that top six”.

Hassall takes the number 14 shirt from the departing Ben Jago and could make his debut this week.
