Cefn Druids play their first home game of the season at The New Saints home ground of Park Hall as they play recently promoted Welsh Football League side Cardiff Metropolitan University.

This will one of six fixtures that the Druids will play from their home Ground ‘The Rock’ as work goes on to lay a 3G pitch to ensure most games are played on schedule. The Cefn Druids have recorded a defeat and a victory on their travels so far this season. A 2-1 defeat kicked off the Welsh Premier League at Bangor City before going on to defeat Rhyl convincingly in a 3-0 victory. A week later and they played Europa League side Bala Town, going down to a 1-0 defeat although Cardiff Metropolitan University contested the game well and were unfortunate to lose, just lacking that killer instinct in the final third.

KEY PLAYERS:

Cefn Druids:

Defender Adam Hesp has been at the Druids since 2007 through their youth system and was a key part of the side that reached the Welsh Cup final in 2012, with experience in the Europa League Qualifying rounds the twenty four year old Hesp could deal with any aerial threats due to his stature and how comfortable he is on the ball.

Cardiff Met:

Winger Jordan Lam is a player that caused Bala Town many problems last weekend as he used his pace and trickekery, marauding the full-backs. As long as Lam can supply the forward with killer passes and chip in with a fair share of goals then Met will look to him as their talisman.
