English Football League side Port Vale are considering a move for The New Saints defender Connell Rawlinson.
The New Saints could see another player move to The Football League, following Scott Quigley’s move to Blackpool last summer.
The Shropshire Star says that the Valiants and a number of sides in the Vanarama National League have considered a move for Rawlinson.
Rawlinson is a long-term servant at The New Saints, having spent eight years in Oswestry. He has rejected the club’s latest contract offer with his current deal expiring in the summer.
“We are currently in talks with two or three players whose deals are up at the end of the season.” said Ruscoe when speaking to the Shropshire Star.
The 26-year-old is Chester-born and could eligible to play for Wales in their C team international with England next month.
He had a brief loan spell at fellow Welsh Premier League side Newtown before cementing himself in The New Saints back line.
This season he has racked up 19 appearances in the league, as well as picking up the first silverware of the season, by winning the Nathaniel MG Cup against Cardiff Metropolitan University. He also earned the man of the match award in The New Saints Irn-Bru Cup victory over Queen of the South.
The New Saints next game is their Irn Bru Cup semi-final fixture with Dumbarton, which will be broadcast live on Sgorio at 19:35 on Saturday, this weekend.
