The New Saints have announced the signing of Leo Smith on a two-year contract from fellow Cymru Premier club Caernarfon Town.
Smith, 22, joined the Cofis on a permanent deal from Wrexham in July 2019, following a spell on loan with the club.
The attacking midfielder made 19 appearances in the Cymru Premier last season, scoring five times, which earned him a call up to Mark Jones’ Wales C squad in March.
Upon signing for the Saints, who finished second in Wales’ top flight last season, Smith said, “I am delighted to sign for TNS. I feel it is the right place for me to be, to develop further as a player. It’s great to be back full-time again.”
He added: “It’s very clear how strong, consistent and dominant the club has been for many years. I feel the style of play that TNS is known for, will suit me perfectly, and hopefully I can contribute towards what the club is looking to achieve again.”
The New Saints manager Scott Ruscoe expressed his delight at Smith’s arrival: “I’m pleased we have added Leo to our squad; he’s an energetic player, who has lots of good attributes, and he’s very comfortable in possession.
“He will fit in well. He has a drive about him and has had an excellent season at Caernarfon.”
Smith becomes The New Saints’ second signing of the summer, following the arrival of Louis Robles from Bala Town.
