Mark Dickeson stands down as manager of Llanelli Town

Mark Dickeson has left his role of first-team manager of Llanelli Town.

Llanelli legend Dickeson took over from Andy Hill in November 2019 but his time at the club in charge of matches was cut short due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Under his guidance they finished sixth in the league after it was decided on a points-per-game basis.

An announcement on the Reds’ twitter page, penned by chairman Wayne Stephens read: “It is with regret that our manager Mark Dickeson, has decided to step down as manager of our club due to personal reasons.

“I personally would like to thank Mark and his team for their continued support during his reign and I wish Mark and his team, the very much best for the future.

“It is now time for the club to search and appoint a new manager and coaching staff.

“I and my committee will collectively make the decision for the future but time is on our side.”

The Reds have yet to start their 2020/21 season with no current start date for the Cymru South.

However, the FAW have been in discussions with Sport Wales about granting the second tiers ‘elite’ status which would allow them to play without the 30 people ruling of the Welsh Government.
