Ellie Finneran has signed her first contract in football by penning terms with Hashtag United as she departs Cardiff Met.
Finneran, who joined the Met from Graceland University, last summer is moving closer to her home after being brought up in Essex.
The 23-year-old made ten appearances in total for the Archers during her time in South Wales, helping them to a second-place finish.
Finneran’s new club, The Tags are a popular team based in Essex and are owned by YouTuber Spencer Owen, who boasts almost two million subscribers on the platform.
Hashtag themselves have over 500,000 subscribers and boast both a men and women’s team after taking over AFC Basildon.
Commenting on her move to the Basildon-based side, Finneran said: “A day I will always remember, my first contract, a dream come true!
“I am so grateful to be a part of this progressive and exciting club. Thank you for this opportunity.”
Her comments on her new club were in addition to her short parting statement to Cardiff Met last week, in which she said: “The end of a chapter for me as an Archer. I’m excited about what the future holds. Thank you Cardiff Met WFC.”
