Caerau Ely’s title fate in their hands after thrashing of Dinas Powys

Caerau Ely are one win away from winning the Ardal South West after thrashing Dinas Powys 6-1 at Cwrt-yr-Ala Road.

Tom Fry’s third-minute penalty for Powys was an early scare from the Young Guns but six goals without reply including a hat-trick for Calum Bateman made for an emphatic victory. 

Bateman equalised and then two minutes later Oliver Redhead gave Ely the lead before Bateman added a third. Liam Bishop added another in the second half with Bateman securing the match-ball and then Ethan Hayes scored in the 93rd minute.
