Rob Davies: Former West Brom youngster joins hometown club Tywyn

Former Oxford and West From midfielder Rob Davies has signed for hometown club Tywyn Bryncrug.

The 32-year-old joins the Mid Wales League club after spending the majority of his career in English non-league football. 

“He is a player will bring a wealth of experience on and off the pitch,” said Tywyn after announcing the arrival of the midfielder

“We can’t wait for him to get going.”

Davies began his career at Wrexham as a youth before moving to West Bromwich Albion. 

He made a senior appearance for the Baggies in an FA Cup defeat to Reading in 2006.

Davies’ list of clubs includes Kidderminster, Hednesford, Worcester City, Billericay and Concord Rangers. 

There was also a spell in Spain with Barakaldo CF.

Davies made six appearances for the Wales U21s and featured for the Dragons at U17 and U19 level also. 

Bryncrug are currently third from bottom in the Mid Wales League, having claimed 11 points in 15 games.
