It was a good day for the Saints on Saturday as a Ryan Brobbel brace and a goal from substitute Adrian Cieslewicz was enough to see off Barry Town United 3-0 at Park Hall.

Head coach Anthony Limbrick saw it as good job done against Barry Town.

He said: “I would call it a professional performance.

“I thought the first half we were a little bit slow and didn’t move it as quick as we liked.

“We had had a chat with a couple of players in the week and said, “look sometimes we need to be patient, we need to wear teams down” and it’s not the first time we have come in 0-0 at half-time.

“We’ve had probably three or four games now since I’ve come in where we have been able to get ourselves in the game with a quick early goal after half-time and come out the blocks quick and we did that.

“In the end we deserved the goals that we got.”

Barry manager Gavin Chesterfield felt TNS were the better team but was proud of his players performance.

Chesterfield said: “The better team won, got to give them credit.

“I thought they (The New Saints) played some good stuff today.

“Disappointed to lose with the amount of goals that we conceded but I’ve got to be proud of my lads.

“I thought the first half they bought into something a bit different.

“The work rate for each other, the intensity and desire was fantastic.

“Deservedly we went into half-time 0-0.

“Second half is disappointing. We concede after fifty seconds and it’s always going to be a uphill battle then and that’s something to learn from.”

Australian head coach Limbrick knows his TNS team were fully concentrated on the game against Barry saying “we were just concentrating on what we were doing, we did that Tuesday night, and it was an important game today to win at home.

“We need to win at home in every game.

“To win the last two games and keep two clean sheets it’s great, that was our main focus.”

Limbrick believes the players are hungry for another title with the final game of the season next Saturday against Bala.

He said: “There is plenty of winners in that changing room.

“There’s people that are hungry in there, they won’t give up” added the Oswestry based side’s boss.

“They will keep going to the end and that’s the important thing.

“That’s what we will be doing and preparing just like we will be for any other game and see where that puts us.”
