Jamie Insall has announced that he is leaving the Connah’s Quay Nomads, following the conclusion of the Cymru Premier season.

The 30-year-old is leaving the club after three-and-a-half seasons at Deeside Stadium, where he enjoyed a successful spell, having joined his first club after a ban from football.

Insall twice won the Cymru Premier title and the Nathaniel MG Cup, whilst he also was a Player of the Month winner.

“I would just like to start by saying thank you to Connah’s Quay for giving me a route back into football,” stated Insall.

“For that, I will forever be in the club’s debt. I’ve experienced playing Champions League, Europa League, and Europa Conference League football which will stay with me for life. The achievements that I have made at this club are unthinkable.

“What a ride it has been. I would just like to thank all the players, staff, and fans, it’s been amazing. It’s now time for a new journey.

“I’m glad that I can sit back and say every time I stepped foot on the pitch wearing the Nomads badge, I gave everything.”

He scored 33 goals for Connah’s Quay and enjoyed a prolific first full season, scoring 14 goals in the Nomads’ first title success in the 2019/20 campaign.

Insall played a lesser role in their title defence and was limited to just 13 appearances, where he scored three times.

And this season, following the departure of Andy Morrison, he wasn’t used as regularly by his successor Craig Harrison, making 12 starts.

In his last game, he came on for 28 minutes in the 1-1 draw with Aberystwyth Town, which secured a ninth-placed finish.
