Barry Town United claim their third trophy of the season after beating a youthful Colwyn Bay 6-0 at Latham Park.

Goals from Troy Greening , Josh Graham and Kayne Mcglaggon gave the town a three nil lead at the break as goals from Kyle Jones , Curtis McDonald and Aiden Lewis wrapped up the trophy for Lee Kendall’s side.

Barry started the game as favourites and it was shown on the pitch as they opened the scoring early on.

Following a set piece that was delivered into the penalty area as the keeper punched the ball into the path of Greening who fired a half-volley effort from distance.

Moments later Barry had a chance to make it two as they won a penalty as Josh Graham was clipped by Matthew Hardaker. Kayne Mcglaggon stepped up as Crichton guessed the right way and denied the Cymru South top scorer.

Cotterill played a sweet ball over the top to Evan Press who headered it across the box as no Barry players could connect to the loose ball.

The young Colwyn side could have had a goal back as Greening and Michael Lewis’s mix-up at the back nearly caused Hugh Holland to go one on one with the keeper.

Barry responded following the mix-up at the back as Cotterill delivered a ball into the centre of the box as Josh Graham headered his effort home.

Right after the second a third soon came as Mcglaggon does what he normally does and scores.

As the forward was in the right place at the right time Cotterill had an effort rebounded off the post as Mcglaggon slotted it home from close range. The Barry forward could have grabbed his second as he fired an effort straight at the keeper.

Following being 3-0 down at the break Colwyn had a great chance to grab one back as Hugh Holland had a long-range effort to clip the crossbar. Barry won a free-kick as Mcglaggon stepped up and fired his effort just over the bar.

Holland was in again for Colwyn Bay as he made a brilliant run but could not fire a shot as soon as he was one on one with the keeper.

Liam Warman struck a powerful effort straight at Crichton as Barry looked for a fourth.

Just a minute later after Warman’s effort, they found the fourth as only just coming onto the pitch Kyle Jones found himself in space and headed home his effort.

The game went from bad to worse as Barry bade it five nil as Curtis McDonald headered a looping header over the keeper.

The last chance of the game turned into a goal as following a great save from Crichton his save went to the feet of Aiden Lewis who tapped it home.
