FESTIVE FOOTBALL SEES BIG CROWDS IN HUWS GRAY ALLIANCE

A total of 3530 fans were out in force in the Huws Gray Alliance as there were three fixtures above a 400 crowd. 

Buckley Town 1-6 Prestatyn Town – 294 ATT

Runaway leaders Prestatyn Town certified their dominance in this fixture as they blew away lowly Buckley Town.

Jack Kenny and Jordan Davies both scored a brace whilst Noah Edwards and James Stead were also on the score sheet for the Seasiders.

Caernarfon 2-0 Porthmadog – 1247 ATT

In what was the largest crowd of the day, Caernarfon won the battle of Gwynedd as they remained in the race for promotion to the Welsh Premier League with goals from Jamie Breese and Danny Brookwell.

Conwy Borough 2-3 Holyhead Hotspur – 120 ATT

Dean Garmey opened the scoring with a header from a corner before Joe Chaplin returned the favour to make it level at half time. Dean Garmey then doubled his tally for the day as he scored from inside the box with a fine strike. Chaplin then turned provider for Conwy Borough by setting up Neil Harvey to draw the sides level once again.

Brian Pritchard’s men then suffered heartbreak as they conceded in the dying moments to Holyhead as Mel McGuiness scored from inside the box.

Gresford Athletic 1-0 Mold Alexandra – 140 ATT

Gresford managed to get revenge on Mold Alexandra who they lost to earlier in the season as Steve Halliwell’s men recorded a home victory through Tom Freeman.

Guilsfield 2-1 Caersws – 300 ATT

Andrew Ford and Louis Irvine scored for the home side whilst Will Thomas scored for Caersws. Jojo Harries was sent off for the away side.

Holywell Town 1-3 Flint Town United – 817 ATT

Richie Foulkes scored a brace for Flint as well as Luke Tyson getting in on the act whilst Shaun Tuck scored for Holywell. Tuck also missed the chance to double his tally with a missed penalty.

Llanair United 0-2 Penrhyncoch – 162 ATT

Elian Evans scored a brace for the away side as they won their first fixture in five matches.

Ruthin Town 1-1 Denbigh – 450 ATT

Bottom side Ruthin managed to draw in their derby match against Denbigh as Llyr Morris scored upon his return to the side whilst Denbigh scored through an own goal.
