Bangor City snap-up Wrexham starlet George Harry

Bangor City have continued their summer recruitment drive as they confirmed the signing of Wrexham striker George Harry.

The young striker made his senior debut back in March for the Dragons and scored his first senior goal for the club against Torquay United.

His aims now have gone from making an impact in the Vanarama National League to success with the Citizens in the Welsh Premier League.

Manager Kevin Nicholson and Gary Taylor-Fletcher have been busy in bolstering their squad as they attempt to put the pressure on current Welsh Premier League holders The New Saints in the 2017/18 season.

Harry joins Branden Shaw, Danny Holmes, Luke Wall, Tom Kennedy and Steven Hewitt in signing deals at Nantporth ahead of the new season.

Bangor seem to be keen in adding goals to their side after the loss of Henry Jones to AFC Fylde, who scored 10 goals last term, with Harry now one of numerous forwards at the club.

Taylor-Fletcher and Nardiello are more experienced players who will be able to pass on valuable advice to Harry, Wall, Shaw and Dean Rittenberg  as they seek to make a charge for the upper echelons of the Welsh Premier League table.

Harry is the latest recruit to join the Bangor ranks, and the 18 year old adds a youthful energy to the side. The youngster featured six times for Wrexham last season and will hopefully relieve the pressure  on the other forwards.

Nicholson told the club website that he was excited about the deal and what the player can bring to the side.

We’re delighted that George has signed for Bangor City FC. He’s a young player with bags of potential and a great atitude. We’re looking forward to working together and developing his game this coming season.”

Harry will be hoping to feature regularly for the Citizens this coming season, joining an ambitious Premier League club in Bangor City.
