The New Saints’ Scott Ruscoe and Barry Tow United’s Kayne McLaggon have been rewarded for their hard-work in the month as September as they claimed the Manager and Player of the Month award.

The vote was decided by a panel of five after being opened up to the general public on Twitter, former Carmarthen Town boss Mark Jones, league officials, former Wales international and Sgorio pundit Owain Tudor-Jones, as well as the editors of Y Clwb Pel-Droed, who all have a 20% say in the decision

After suffering a defeat on the opening day of the season, The New Saints have turned things around under Scott Ruscoe and have become a hard side to beat. In the month of September, The Champions kept a clean sheet in each of their League matches, scoring four past the Cefn Druids, before drawing away to Cardiff Met, ending the unbeaten streak of Llandudno, as well as giving a five-nil thrashing to Carmarthen on their first home game of the season.

So far this season, McLaggon has bagged four goals in six appearances for the Linnets, including a brace against Newtown last month which helped him on his way to acclaiming the award.
