Caerau Ely have announced that winger Jamal Roberts has rejoined the club.
The winger previously played at the club under Nana Baah when they won the Welsh League Division One title in 2014/15, just one season after winning promotion from Division Two Under Baah’s leadership.
However, Baah departed the club last season and Roberts departed the club alongside the manager.
The duo linked up once more at Taffs Well, before the duo both left later in the seasons
Roberts had turned out for Goytre United this term but has now rejoined the club where he arguably achieved his greatest feat to date.
The club suffered relegation from Division One last season, and Craig Sampson rebuilt the squad into a competitive Division Two over the summer.
Ely are 3rd in the Division, having won eight of their 11 games so far.
The club added Pontypridd midfielder Danny Hooper to their squad last week and have now bolstered their attacking options with the return of Roberts.
The winger boasts three Welsh League Cup winners medals to his name and will add some experience to the Young Guns side.
Sampson will be hoping to introduce both new signings into the first team fold in their next game, as they host promotion rivals Abergavenny Town at Cwrt-Yr-Ala Road.
