The New Saints have signed midfielder Billy Whitehouse from non-league side Tadcaster Albion subject to international clearance.
The Mexborough born midfielder plays predominantly as a winger and has spent a majority of his career in Yorkshire.
Whitehouse is the second signing of the transfer window for the reigning Welsh Premier League champions following the addition of Cardiff City defender Jack Bodenham.
He tweeted “I’m delighted to have signed for The New Saints. I can’t wait to get started and hit the ground running.”
Speaking to tnsfc.co.uk, Whitehouse said: “I’m really happy to be signing for The New Saints and excited to be back in full-time football. The chance to win titles and play for a top team is exciting. I just can’t wait to hit the ground running.”
A youth academy product of Doncaster Rovers, where he made a total of six appearances for the Donny, he earns a move to Leeds United, where he played for their Development squad. He played in Leeds United’s 1-0 defeat to Sutton United in the FA Cup, before being released by then manager Garry Monk.
The 22-year-old has been with Tadcaster since 2017, where he’s scored nine goals 35 appearances for the Yorkshire side.
The New Saints will be doing no more business in the January transfer window, both incomings and outcomings.
